NCCI Changes the Experience Rating Formula– First time in 20 years

Below is a link to an excellent article that explains how most staffing companies workers compensation mods and rates will be increasing starting January 1, 2013.

https://www.ncci.com/documents/exp_rating_update.pdf

The net effect of this change is that if you have a negative mod (over 1.0) your mod and rates will likely increase. If your mod is less than 1.0, your mod and rates will probably improve.

Finally, we still have a few openings left to join us for complimentary lunch or dinner at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas during the American Staffing Association Conference. We can discuss these workers compensation changes and review options to keep your rates as low as possible.

Please just give me a call 202-302-1212 and let’s talk about what solutions are available for your workers compensation situation.

New NCCI methodology will change premium calculations

Modified ex-mods penalize poor risk staffing companies

Starting in 2013, NCCI’s 38 member States will start to more severely penalize employers who have poor workers compensation loss histories. Conversely, employers who have good loss histories should receive some rate reductions through improved experience mods. This is the first change to this very important NCCI rate formula in 30 years!

The link / article below further explains this new change that will impact ALL staffing companies.

StaffingCompSolutions.com joins the California Staffing Association

In June, StaffingCompSolutions.com joined the California Staffing Professional Association (CSP.) StaffingCompSolutions.com has been a member of the American Staffing Association (ASA) for  years, but with the uptick in workers compensation rates especially in California, we have been receiving many inquiries for quotes from that great state.

We look forward to seeing our California clients at the CSP local meetings, and the rest of our clients in October in Las Vegas at the American Staffing Association National Conference.

Work Comp Rates Heading Higher

They say that California is about 6 months ahead of the rest of the states in their business trends. If that is the case, we all need to be very aware of the trend in workers compensation rates in that state.

Here is a good article about where most work comp rates are heading if California is any leading indicator
